Updates for the Java webstart client crash issues. ( Please refer my previous blogs - Java 6u65 and Java 7u45 )
The failure is caused by new security enforcement of JRE runtime parameters in Java Webstart deployed applications jnlp files. This security change was introduced with Oracle JRE 6u65 and JRE 7u45.
The APAR IV51394 is opened to resolve this problem and provisional fixes for the following releases will be tentatively available on Friday, Nov 15th:
6.2.3-TIV-ITM-FP0001, 6.2.3-TIV-ITM-FP0002, 6.2.3-TIV-ITM-FP0003, 6.2.3-TIV-ITM-FP0004
If you have questions on releases different from the ones listed above, please contact IBM Customer Support by opening a PMR.
The workaround available at this point, as Java 7 is formally supported only with ITM 6.3.x and not ITM 6.2.x, is:
- ITM 6.3.x environment: use Oracle Java 1.7.0u40 or less, or use the TEP browser client as an alternative
- ITM 6.2.x environment: use Oracle Java 1.6.0u51 or less, or use the TEP browser client as an alternative
Note: IBM JREs are not affected.
