This is an FAQ item and provides the step-by-step instructions for verifying an ITCAM for WebSphere Messaging agent has stopped on i5/OS systems.
Before you upgrade an agent to a new version on an i5/OS system, you must delete the old versions of the agent. Make sure that the agent has stopped before you delete it.
To stop an agent, from an i5/OS console, issue one of the following commands and select END:
GO OMAMCTo verify an agent has stopped, from an i5/OS console, issue one of the following commands. If no active jobs are displayed on the active job screen, it mean the agent is stopped.
