We recently had a client report that one instance of his agent did not successfully register with its TEMS. Upon examination of the agent's RAS1 log we found that it did indeed successfully register with its TEMS, so we asked the client what led him believe that the registration was unsuccessful.
He indicated that he was unsuccessful in locating the agent instance on the TEP client using the agent's host name. He subsequently was able to locate it using its IP address.
Upon further investigation we found that in the agent's .ini file, when specifying the host name with CTIRA_SYSTEM_NAME, he had inadvertently included a blank character following the host name.
Stopping the agent, removing the extraneous blank character in the .ini CTIRA_SYSTEM_NAME setting, clearing the offline system using the TEP client, and starting the agent resolved the issue.
