Typically this would be something what most System Administrators would like to see, Some nice charts, graphs and how is the data collection doing ? Is it going to help me predict things based on already stored data.
Would'nt it be nice to view some trend - or a pattern - upward or downward slopes/patterns.
Wouldnt' it be nice to see based on what has been collected so far - should I order for additional resources share, or drop a few applications, and prepare for the upcoming season.
These are some things that an administrator would be interested, in any environment where the resources are being monitored.
The Tivoli Performance Analyzer, gets installed as part of the base ITM (6.2.3.x - upwards to 6.3.x ) component.
One has to install the Performance Analyzer Reports and Domain definitions part, along with ITM, for the ITPA to be fully operational and supported. History collection "Warehouse proxy" and "Summarization and Pruning" Agent has to be started as well.
Here is a nice snapshot of Performance Analyzer rendering the trend of CPU Utilization of OS agent ( Linux in this case , "lz" agent) .

The yellow bars are the valid historical data from my environment.
The blue line is the trend showing how the CPU Utilization is going to be like. This is the best-fit-line and has a slant slope going downwards.
On the right is the forecast panel - showing how the data in this case CPU Utilization is going to be in the next 7 days, 30 days and 90 days.
The 'x' and the "y" axis is the "Time" Vs "CPU Utilization in %"
