With the AOS tool, a member of our support team can view your desktop and share control of your mouse and keyboard to get you on your way to a solution. The tool can speed up problem determination, collection of data, and ultimately, your problem solution
How to get started
.You will need to go to the “IBM Assist On-site request form” :
The below explains what is needed on the form ........
You will be presented with a pop up window where you must enter the code given to you by IBM Support.
The connection will be established and you can choose how you want the support rep to communicate with you :
You also have the ability to log all actions taken during AOS -- you just need to tick the log actions box!
Once you have chosen communication type , click accept....
The session will then be underway........ You can use the drop down box as per below to change mode's throughout session!
Left button lets you disconnect the session ..... and there are further options under the settings button shown below....
For you to make the most of your time with the IBM support rep, it is highly recommended that you perform a connectivity test prior to your AOS session.
Open the following URL: htt
2. Click Assist On-site Connectivity Test.
3. When prompted, click Open to temporarily save the executable to your local machine.
4. When prompted, click Run.for AOS
5. If prompted by your firewall, allow the executable to connect to the Internet.
The results of the test will be displayed in your web browser. You must be able to see at least one server in America as green for AOS to connect!
You are now good to go for your AOS session!!
