Create a Situation to monitor Application Status

Application Health workspace which displays information about the real-time health status of monitored applications. In this workspace, the Application Status attribute captures the current status of monitored applications, e.g. Running, Stopped, Failed.
The Application Status attribute provides a convenient way to monitor that applications are up and to alert when they are not. It is straightforward to create a Situation in TEP which fires when the status of an application is not Running, resulting in an event in the Situation Event Console.
Creating the Situation
In this screenshot, the Situation Event Editor is being used to build a Situation which will fire a Critical event when a monitored application is not Running.
Clicking the Advanced button to bring up the Advanced Situation Options, you can choose to display the application name as the display name of the events.
