Abstract

Troubleshooting: APM SAP Hana DB agent online to APM Server but not showing data in the UI

Body

After installing and configuring the APM SAP Hana DB agent, the agent is showing online but there is no data being displayed in the APM/UI


Problem:
After installing and configuring the APM SAP Hana DB agent, the agent is showing online but there is no data being displayed in the APM/UI


Symptom:

No data in the UI. Check in the log similar to this hs5dbsaop01_s7_xxx_1552377017.log for the below message:

_=/usr/bin/env

ks7start: error while loading shared libraries: libodbcHDB.so: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory

Solution:

So this error denotes that either Hana Database Client is not installed or the ‘LD_LIBRARY_PATH’ path is not set with the path to the above.

Steps below to try and resolve this:

1)Stop the agent.

2)Verify if  installed Hana Database Client. If not ask them to install Hana Database Client ‘1.00.102.06 Build 1461042750-1530’ or later version. We would recommend to install the latest version.

3)Set LD_LIBRARY_PATH variable value as the path where Hana Database Client is installed. E.g: /usr/sap/hdbclient

4)Reconfigure the agent.

5)Start the agent.

Then check whether agent is able to connect to database
