status of database backup. However this can be achieved using some
column of ?msdb..backupset? table.

Please find below customized SQL queries for monitoring backup of the
select name, backup_start_date, backup_finish_date, backup_size,
database_name, is_damaged from msdb..backupset order by backup_set_id
Though this query gives the backup name, start & end time, size,
database name and showing database is damaged or not.
One more query is there for monitoring the state of backup file.
select state,state_desc from msdb..backupfile
Customer can use both queries for monitoring the status of the database
