Abstract

ITM JWS is failing with Oracle SUN JRE 8 build 131

Body

After the update  to Oracle Sun JRE 8 build 131 the IBM Tivoli Monitoring (ITM)  JavaWebStart  (JWS)  does not works any longer.

Error: Unsigned application requesting unrestricted access to system
            The following resource with a weak signature algorithm MD5withRSA and is treated as unsigned: http://****:15200/classes/*jar

This is independ on the ITM 6.30 Fixpack version.

This is related to the change Oracle has made in this build, see the release note: http://www.oracle.com/technetwork/java/javase/8u131-relnotes-3565278.html

Please open an IBM Ticket and PMR and follow the same instructions like technote:
