How to report HTTP web server transactions returning HTTP error codes 400s and 500s, using IBM Cloud Application Performance Management V8.1?
One option is to install and use the Response Time Agent (T5) included in IBM Cloud Application Performance Management V8.1 Private, see:

Using APM UI, you can use its Threshold Manager and create ‘thresholds’ against Response Time (WRT) agent’s attributes, as seen below.

Example of new Threshold created using APM UI Threshold Manager, named "Report_Tx_400s":
save the above threshold
Results in APM Application dashboard, after violation is captured for the monitored transactions, an event is generated:
