A quick little blog for you today. This was an issue I ran into a while back and while it won't apply in every instance, it is something work checking on your environment if you run into a similar issue. We had a customer that had raised a PMR with us as they were having problems with Cognos Framework Manager. They couldn't get it to connect to their database even though every test through Cognos Configuration completed successfully and every config setting looked fine
After some investigation, it turned out that this was due to Windows User Account Control (UAC) being enabled. In this instance, the only solution was to disable UAC.
