Silent install and remote deploy are convenient and powerful tools to install and config ITM agents. However, writing reponse files for these tools sometimes is tricky, specially for an agent with repeatable sections. For ITM 6.22 and up, MTEMS can generate the reponse files for you. IBM Tivoli Monitoring version 6.2.3 Fix Pack 2 has shipped and is now available. This is a cumulative fix pack for IBM Tivoli Monitoring version 6.2.3. This fix pack supersedes all previous IBM Tivoli Monitoring versions, including the most recent version 6.2.3 Fix Pack 1. The fix pack contains over 90 APAR fixes as well as a set of new features. Problem(Abstract) : In IBM Tivoli Monitoring (ITM) v622 the OS Agents Reports installer used the TCR's JRE to run the installer, but in ITM v623 or later, no check is made to determine the JRE environment and assumes a system global JRE is available. If a system JRE is not already installed, then the Reports installer will fail. Symptom: Launch of osreports\setup_xxx fails, where xxx is platform name. "Failed to deploy [kfwewas.properties]" Cause: The eWAS component was not upgraded with the Tivoli Portal Server upgrade because of insufficient available memory. Symptom: Tivoli Portal Server can not be (re)configured correctly and it may have problems starting.
