The offer

If an end-user customer is using the IBM License Transfer Option to move their current IBM i license to a new eligible IBM Power Servers 720/740 or new PureFlex with Power Node (7895-22x / 23x / 42x), the license transfer fee per core will receive a discount. The discount will vary based upon the period when the transaction takes place:

For qualifying transactions between the day of announcement and September 30, 2013 (inclusive), IBM will discount the price of the license transfer fee to 1 US$ (see Appendix 1 for local conversion rates)
For qualifying transactions between October 01, 2013 and December 31, 2013 inclusive, the license transfer fee will be discounted by 50%.

To be eligible to participate in this program, the end-user customer must:

Purchase an eligible new IBM Power Systems Server 720/740 and use the IBM License Transfer Option to move their current IBM i license into the new system within the dates of this program.
Both the replaced IBM machine and the eligible new IBM Power Systems Server 720/740 must have been installed under the same IBM customer number. Unless as a result of a merger or acquisition the trading name of the customer and customer number have changed. In this case, customers should refer to the old and new trading names in their claim.

Notes:

The discount will only apply as long the end-user customer stays within the same or lower IBM i Software Tier as described within the License Transfer Terms and Conditions that can be found at the following URL: http://www-947.ibm.com/systems/support/planning/notices71.html.
If the end user customer moves to a higher Software tier during the license transfer, the end-user customer must pay the incremental uplift determined by the corresponding billing codes.
The following billing codes will be waived if one of the eligible IBM Power Servers 720/740 or Power PureFlex nodes is ordered:

Products purchased with the Anniversary Solution Edition (identified with feature code EU28) are not eligible.
Distributor stock at the start of the promotion is eligible.
Order backlog (eligible orders placed with IBM but not yet shipped on the day of the announcement of this offer) are eligible.
Products purchased for ‘Try and Buy’ when purchased by the End-User are eligible.
SDI Machines and Model Upgrades to the eligible Systems are not eligible.
Other after market' (MES) orders for features are not eligible
Products purchased under special bid terms (including frame agreement and IVO offerings) are not eligible.
Products purchased under demonstration or development terms are not eligible.
Products purchased for Business Partner internal use are not eligible.
All 'used' equipment are not eligible.

This promotional discount cannot be combined with any other discounts. This promotion can not be combined with the Move Up to Power Program identified by FC 9001

The following Standard Terms and Conditions apply:

All transactions will be audited. If IBM determines during its audit activities that the relevant transaction(s) do not qualify for the Program, in addition and without prejudice to any rights IBM may have under the Business Partner Agreement or otherwise in law in respect of such transaction (s), the relevant discounts shall become repayable to IBM and IBM may recover such sums directly from the Business Partners.
IBM reserves the right to request additional information concerning the relevant transactions at any time and to reject requests which the eligibility criteria is not met.
IBM will apply the discounted price to the license transfer fee invoice that IBM issues to its Distributors and Tier 1 Business Partners.
IBM makes no commitment that this promotional rebate will apply in any future program.
IBM reserves the right to modify or withdraw this promotion at any time.
This program is void wherever prohibited or restricted by Law.
