The bundled software components offered with IBM® Power® Systems Enterprise Cloud Edition 1.3 and IBM Power Systems Enterprise Cloud Edition 1.3 with AIX® 7.2 now include IBM Cloud® PowerVC Manager, IBM Cloud Management Console, IBM PowerSC Standard Edition, IBM PowerSC MFA, IBM VM Recovery Manager DR, and IBM Aspera®. The bundled components have changed as follows:

  • PowerSC MFA is updated to release level 3 (PowerSC MFA 1.3).
  • VM Recovery Manager DR is updated to release level 5 (VM Recovery Manager DR 1.5).

Aspera 4 includes the following new enhancements:

  • Client and server side encryption at rest for ascp4
  • Remove after transfer, and remove empty directories for ascp4
  • Manifest file support for ascp4
  • Management, activity, and event reporting parity with ascp
  • Extended file system attribute synchronization support
  • Streaming options to reduce latency for small but frequent data batches
