IBM® Business Process Manager (IBM BPM) on Cloud Express® is a new, entry-level choice to help you get started with automating business operations.

If you need to start a new, small project that does not have the same service level agreement (SLA) requirements as IBM BPM on Cloud, you now have a new option with IBM BPM on Cloud Express. This is especially suited for:

  • Small, non-mission-critical processes that have lower SLA requirements
  • Teams that need access to processes with less than 25 people
  • Teams that want to experiment with process automation
  • Processes that only require Business Process Modeling Notation (BPMN) capabilities that are provided with IBM BPM Standard

IBM BPM on Cloud Express is a comprehensive and consumable cloud service that delivers visibility and management of your business processes in a cloud environment. This software-as-a-service (SaaS) product:

  • Includes tooling and runtime to design, test, and run processes.
  • Provides capabilities to monitor and optimize work that is run within the platform.
  • Includes a specific design to enable process owners and business users to get started with business process improvement quickly with a ready-to-use, cloud-based environment that is hosted in IBM cloud data centers and managed by IBM.

  • A direct, internet connection

Software requirements

IBM BPM on Cloud Express requires one of the following supported web browsers:

Process Designer

The Process Designer tool is provided as a download for users that design processes and services. This tool can be downloaded from your IBM BPM on Cloud Express instance and installed on to a desktop system. When run, it can connect to the Process Center within your IBM BPM on Cloud Express instance.

Authorized User is a unit of measure by which the IBM SaaS can be obtained.
