IBM® Ported Tools for z/OS®, a program product available at no cost to you, is designed to deliver ported tools and utilities that are modified to operate within the z/OS environment. These tools and utilities are useful for application development on, and secure communications to, the z/OS platform. For Version 1 Release 2 Modification 1 of the IBM Ported Tools for z/OS product, the base is updated to include a more current IBM HTTP Server. The other utilities included in the IBM Ported Tools for z/OS product are optional features and are not updated.

IBM Ported Tools for z/OS: IBM HTTP Server V8.5 provides an HTTP Server, or Webserver (based on Apache Software Foundation's Apache HTTP Server (version 2.2.8)) for the z/OS UNIX™ System Services environment.

The IBM Ported Tools for z/OS: IBM HTTP Server V8.5 feature has the same functionality found in the IBM HTTP Server for WebSphere® Application Server for z/OS V8.5.5 component.

IBM HTTP Server V8.5 is an unpriced feature of the IBM Ported Tools for z/OS unpriced licensed program.

In addition, IBM has announced end of marketing effective April 30, 2014, for several features of IBM Ported Tools for z/OS, V1.2. Features withdrawn from marketing are:
