Overview
IBM® Integration Designer V19.0.0.2 was delivered as a continuous delivery (CD) update package on June 27, 2019. Integration Designer V19.0.0.2 is now declared a Long Term Support Release (LTSR), effective from its original delivery date of June 27, 2019. This provides product defect fixes and security updates for a minimum period of two years. Note that program defect fixes and security updates are only available for the two most current CD updates and all active LTSRs. This version is to be used with IBM Business Automation Workflow V19.0.0.3, which is also an LTSR.
An LTSR can be supported for a longer period, thereby assisting clients where frequent functional updates may not be practical and a longer-term deployment is wanted. Technical support enables you to obtain assistance, by telephone or electronic means, from IBM for product-specific, task-oriented questions regarding the installation and operation of the program product. IBM Software Subscription and Support also gives you access to versions, releases, and updates (CD releases, LTSRs, and fixes) of the program. You will be notified through an announcement letter of discontinuance of support with 12 months' notice. If you require additional technical support from IBM, contact your IBM representative or IBM Business Partner. For additional information on this support lifecycle, see the IBM Business Automation Workflow and IBM Integration Designer Software Support Lifecycle Policy website.
Integration Designer can produce complex automated processes that can interact with large, back-end systems and services. A business process is a set of related activities that produces an output that no single activity would produce individually. Currently, software is an important part of the business automation environment. It allows an organization to model its processes and can then be automated by integrating applications in the business process instead of requiring manual work. At run time, you can monitor a business process that is created with software and use what is learned to improve the efficiency of the business process model.
Integration Designer is a development environment for end-to-end integration of clients' service-oriented architecture (SOA). It is an Eclipse-based tool for building SOA-based business automation workflows and integration solutions. Clients can run those solutions in IBM Workflow Server runtime environments. Clients can also provide a process from Integration Designer as an Advanced Integration Service for use by Web Process Designer in Business Automation Workflow.
