IBM® intends to deliver IBM Cloud Infrastructure Center V1.1.1 for the IBM Z® and LinuxONE platforms, which is planned to include the following capabilities:
- Optional discovery of preexisting virtual machines to be managed by Cloud Infrastructure Center
- Support for additional Red Hat® Enterprise Linux® distributions as the base operating system and guest environment
- Support for Lightweight Directory Access Protocol (LDAP) to meet enterprise identity mapping requirements
- Enablement for SCSI-only-based virtual machines
Cloud Infrastructure Center provides simplified infrastructure management for compute, network, and storage resources and cloud deployments for z/VM®-based Linux virtual machines that run on IBM Z and IBM LinuxONE platforms. Cloud Infrastructure Center enables users to scale and shrink virtual machine resources on an as-needed basis. It provides the virtual infrastructure resources in the cloud.
