Overview
IBM® Storwize® V5030, V5030F, and V5030E models were erroneously announced with support for scalable configurations of up to 760 drives with the attachment of Storwize expansion enclosures, and with a maximum clustered system size of 1,520 drives.
The following Storwize models support a maximum of 504 drives when clustered up to 1,008 drives:
- Storwize V5030 models: 2077-312, 2077-324, 2078-312, 2078-324 and 2078-U5A
- Storwize V5030F models 2077-AF3 and 2078-AF3
- Storwize V5030E models 2072-312 and 2072-324

The updated expansion enclosure attachment rules with the correct maximum number of drives supported and clustered are as follows:
