IBM RealSecure Server Sensor for AIX, is available in the Power
Systems channel. IBM RealSecure Server Sensor for AIX is designed to
identify and block known and unknown threats and enforce corporate
security policies for servers.

Description |

IBM offers IBM RealSecure Server Sensor for AIX and SiteProtector, which are world-class server security products and services designed to help clients protect data housed on IBM POWER processor-based servers. These capabilities are designed to identify and block known and unknown threats and enforce corporate security policies for servers. They combine an integrated firewall, intrusion detection and prevention systems, and system integrity monitoring to help ensure that servers are protected and adhere to corporate standards.
IBM RealSecure Server Sensor for AIX integrates into the client's local IT infrastructure and can be managed locally or centrally by the award-winning IBM SiteProtector system management console. The IBM RealSecure Server Sensor for AIX will be offered in the United States only with this initial release as a licensed product.
IBM RealSecure Server Sensor is a software agent from IBM Internet Security Systems (ISS) designed to help you meet regulatory compliance and provides server protection from malware attacks. The combination of access and user protection offered by the AIX operating system and the threat mitigation and compliance functionality delivered by RealSecure Server Sensor provides the following benefits:
- Host protection: IPS, Firewall, and Overflows protects against known and unknown malicious attacks that can lead to data loss or theft.
- Compliance: Supports industry regulations and controls.
- Monitoring: Provides file integrity monitoring and operating system auditing.
- Network and system security: Unauthorized access protection with built-in features for advanced intranet and network protection.

RealSecure Server Sensor for AIX requires:
- Operating system: AIX V5.3 or AIX V6.1
- Network connection: TCP/IP network connection over 10/100/1000 Mbps Ethernet
- Minimum memory: 128 MB in addition to memory required by other applications
- Disk space:
- 75 MB to run Installation Source Directory
- 50 MB for the ServerSensor-AIX-7-0.shar file in /tmp
- 65 MB for the ServerSensor.pkg
