Selected enhanced support is available from IBM® for the third-party SPARK Toolkits that is owned and licensed by Salient Process. They include the:

  • SPARK User Interface (UI) Toolkit
  • Portal Builder
  • External Participant

The SPARK Toolkits can enable the creation of modern business process management (BPM) interfaces that are also mobile-ready. You can access the toolkits from the Salient Process support website for all current IBM BPM releases beginning with Version

SPARK Toolkits can:

  • Increase UI developer productivity up to three to four times faster than using traditional methods and decrease maintenance costs by avoiding UI complexity.
  • Provide an intuitive developer experience by using a simple and powerful event-based framework that enables a consistent approach for validation and formula-based computations.
  • Create stylish Coaches with a modern user experience and sophisticated layouts by using highly configurable controls for data, appearance, and behavior.
  • Provide a full set of responsive controls, which adapt to the layout and behavior that depend on the form factor of the chosen device.
  • Optimize UI performance by using controls that support lazy loading and server side pagination that can support complex UI with large, tabular data sets.
  • Provide tools to quickly create a new UI look and feel.
  • Extend the reach of IBM BPM to include external participants.
  • Provide a set of simple portal controls that are used to build dashboards that can be incorporated into the Process Portal that are to be used to build a custom portal which includes a Get Next Task capability.
