Advantages of the Software as a Service (SaaS) model

On-premise installations require resources from IT departments that need to understand the details of the solution components, manage those components, and provide ongoing maintenance of operating system and software patches, fixes, and upgrades. In a SaaS model, most of these burdens are dramatically reduced or eliminated. IBM Concert on Cloud is hosted and managed by IBM , and you subscribe to the service and access it through the Internet. This means you are not required to purchase and provision new hardware or worry about ongoing operating system and software maintenance.

With IBM Concert on Cloud, provisioning and onboarding are streamlined. You can derive value from the service much more quickly than with a traditional on-premise installation. Connection to the service is as easy as accessing the Internet through a browser, and it can be accessed from anywhere. Authorized User

Authorized User is a unit of measure by which the IBM SaaS can be obtained. An authorized User is a unique person who is given access to the IBM SaaS. You must obtain separate, dedicated entitlements for each unique Authorized User given access to the IBM SaaS in any manner directly or indirectly (for example, via a multiplexing program, device, or application server) through any means. An entitlement for an Authorized User is unique to that Authorized User and may not be shared, nor may it be reassigned other than for the permanent transfer of the Authorized User entitlement to another person. Sufficient entitlements must be obtained to cover the number of Authorized Users given access to the IBM SaaS during the Subscription Period specified in your Order Document.
