Overview
Bottom rule

As organizations strive to become more agile and move to the cloud, they are increasingly choosing open source databases to leverage proven cloud-scale solutions and dynamic ecosystems. Organizations have realized that no single database is available to meet their needs and are adopting a multi-database strategy in a fit-for-purpose manner. This shift presents enterprises with serious challenges as they struggle to support new data technologies and move rapidly from experimentation to production, all while reducing costs and managing risk.

Compose Enterprise addresses these challenges by delivering an IBM-managed cloud data platform that enables your organization to run MongoDB, Redis, Elasticsearch, PostgreSQL, RethinkDB, etcd, and RabbitMQ in a dedicated environment.

With Compose Enterprise, development teams gain access to self-service database provisioning and management, enabling them to build applications faster in real production environments; build robust, polyglot persistent applications; and easily experiment with new databases. By removing the complexities of database management, the development teams can focus on delivering innovative applications.

Key benefits include:

  • One-click deployment of production-ready databases with HA clustering and failover, autoscaling, automated daily backups, and an intuitive web interface.
  • The freedom to deploy any combination of the supported databases in a single managed environment.
  • Rapid time-to-value. Developers can focus on delivering innovative applications rather than database administration and operations.
  • Easy process for upgrading to the latest database versions.
  • Improved uptime, reliability, and security.

Statement of good security practices
Bottom rule

IT system security involves protecting systems and information through prevention, detection, and response to improper access from within and outside your enterprise. Improper access can result in information being altered, destroyed, or misappropriated or can result in misuse of your systems to attack others. Without a comprehensive approach to security, no IT system or product should be considered completely secure and no single product or security measure can be completely effective in preventing improper access. IBM systems and products are designed to be part of a lawful, comprehensive security approach, which will necessarily involve additional operational procedures, and may require other systems, products, or services to be most effective.

Important: IBM does not warrant that any systems, products, or services are immune from, or will make your enterprise immune from, the malicious or illegal conduct of any party.
