Overview

For all releases after September 1, 2022, IBM® Cognos® Controller will no longer support the following programs and compatibility:

• Oracle Database
• IBM Db2® Database
• IBM Cognos Analytics for standard reports
• 32-bit compatibility for both Windows™ OS and Microsoft™ Office

IBM will continue to support these supporting programs and 32-bit Excel for existing in-market streams, specifically versions 10.4.0, 10.4.1, and 10.4.2, until further notice.

This change to support provides more focus on functional improvements and modernization, as well as better performance, and represents a simpler and lower-maintenance architecture.

A database migration tool is available to help your organization migrate its database from Oracle and Db2 to Microsoft SQL Server.
