Overview
IBM Hourly Service for IBM machines and programs is a service that is provided by IBM. This service is based on the client's request, regardless of the IBM contract.
Changes to IBM Hourly Service
Effective May 2, 2022, IBM Hourly Service offers new hours of operation at locations where IBM machines and programs are installed.
Service provision time
IBM Hourly Service will be provided at a location where the service can be provided within IBM business hours and after the next business day of the request for IBM service.
The IBM business hours for this service are Monday to Friday, 9:00 AM to 5:36 PM (except holidays and except December 30 through and including January 3).
Note: These limited hours do not apply to requests for machines that have an available maintenance technical service contract as below:
- Monday to Saturday 12 hours 8:00-20:00
- Monday to Sunday 12 hours 8:00-20:00
- Monday to Sunday 18 hours 8:00-02:00
Machines for which IBM has canceled or end of service maintenance services under contract
IBM does not provide IBM Hourly Service for machines with services that have been canceled or have reached end of service by the rental and maintenance contract.
Note: Providing services to machines for which maintenance services have been canceled has conventionally been provided based on available skills and materials such as parts, tools, and test equipment. However, the same measures do not apply to machines that have reached end of service.
