Data breaches are on the rise, and protecting SaaS workloads is a top-level priority for many enterprises. Cloud providers, such as Microsoft and Salesforce, encourage their clients to implement third-party backup and recovery solutions to ensure all cloud application data is protected.

IBM Spectrum Protect Plus Online Services is a data protection backup-as-a-service solution. It empowers clients with the capability to back up and restore cloud-resident data for Microsoft 365. IBM® clients can take advantage of IBM backup and restore capabilities in the cloud and enjoy the following key benefits:

  • Data protection for Microsoft 365, including Exchange Online, SharePoint Online, Project Online, OneDrive, Groups, Teams, and Public Folders
  • Private data backup to the cloud to ensure data availability, integrity, and resilience
  • Information integrity with restoration of clean backup data in the event of a virus, user error, or ransomware attack
  • Easily schedule restores or perform site-level rollback to restore Microsoft 365 artifacts
  • Full or incremental backup with granular restore:
    • On-demand, granular recovery manages version conflicts to ensure the most authoritative copy is recovered
    • Alternate location restores to another mailbox or OneDrive
    • Alternate location exports to local file system in different file formats
  • Centralized management with tracking, management, and reporting of all Microsoft 365 backup and restore processes from one console
  • Status monitoring and reporting of data protection status across Microsoft Exchange Online, OneDrive, Project Online, Groups, Teams, and SharePoint Online
  • Built-in storage encryption ensures Microsoft 365 app data is secure
