Description

Db2 Web Query for i Scheduler Edition (5733-WQB)

The Db2 Web Query for i Scheduler Edition (5733-WQB) is designed for IBM i clients with a small number of interactive users who need to create and run reports for a potentially large number of information consumers who need to have reports or dashboards distributed to them, including mobile device users.

This new licensed program product provides all the functionality of the Db2 Web Query for i Express Edition, and it now includes job scheduling and report or dashboard distribution capabilities that were previously only available as part of the IBM Db2 Web Query for i Standard Edition. It provides the ability to schedule reports to run, which can then be distributed by email to consumers, transferred through FTP to other servers or clients, sent to a printer, or even sent to a network drive location.

The reports and dashboards can be created in many different formats, including active reports and dashboards, which enables consumers to alter the views of the data included in the report. Available formats include Excel, HTML, PDF, Microsoft™ PowerPoint, XML, JPEG, and more. Distribution lists can be leveraged to run the report or dashboard once and distribute to many. You can schedule reports using your own job scheduler to drive the timing of the report and distribution.

The Db2 Web Query for i Scheduler Edition is available for IBM i 7.3 and later releases. Clients can order either the new Db2 Web Query for i Scheduler Edition or the new Db2 Web Query for i Runtime User Edition, but not both. Clients who need the functionality provided by both new editions should acquire Db2 Web Query for i Standard Edition, which includes the function of both products and more.

Current DB2® Web Query for i Express Edition (5733-WQE) clients can upgrade to the Db2 Web Query for i Scheduler Edition.

The Db2 Web Query for i Scheduler Edition code can only be obtained through PTF installation. The product is not available on the IBM i media set or as a download on the IBM Entitled Systems Support (ESS) website.

The Db2 Web Query for i Scheduler Edition capability can be enabled by first loading and installing the appropriate PTFs for DB2 Web Query for i (5733-WQX) and then installing 5733-WQX option 10 (feature 5110). Note that after this option is installed, the name does not change. After the PTFs are applied and option 10 (feature 5110) is installed, restart DB2 Web Query for i by using the ENDWEBQRY/STRWEBQRY or WRKWEBQRY CL commands.

For more information, including the PTFs required to enable the Db2 Web Query for i Scheduler Edition, see the Db2 Web Query website.

Db2 Web Query for i Runtime User Edition (5733-WQR)

The Db2 Web Query for i Runtime User Edition is designed for IBM i clients with a small number of users who create reports but a potentially large number of users who need to run reports or dashboards interactively, on demand. The full suite of report or dashboard outputs are supported with Db2 Web Query for i Runtime User Edition, including HTML, PDF, Microsoft PowerPoint, active reports, and visualizations.

This new licensed program product provides all the functionality of Db2 Web Query for i Express Edition, and it adds the ability to support groups of users (runtime groups) that can directly run reports and dashboards through the browser-based BI portal user interface. Db2 Web Query for i Runtime User Edition enables you to scale up the number of users who can take advantage of the robust reporting, charting, dashboard, and visualization capabilities within Db2 Web Query for i.

The Db2 Web Query for i Runtime User Edition is available for IBM i 7.3 and later releases. Clients can order either the new Db2 Web Query for i Runtime User Edition or the new Db2 Web Query for i Scheduler Edition, but not both. Clients who need the functionality provided by both new editions should acquire Db2 Web Query for i Standard Edition, which includes the function of both products and more.

Current Db2 Web Query for i Express Edition (5733-WQE) clients can upgrade to the Db2 Web Query for i Runtime User Edition.

The Db2 Web Query for i Runtime User Edition code can only be obtained through PTF installation. The product is not available on the IBM i media set or as a download on the ESS website.

The Db2 Web Query for i Runtime User Edition capability can be enabled by first loading and installing the appropriate PTFs for DB2 Web Query for i (5733-WQX) and then installing 5733-WQX option 9 (feature 5109). Note that after this option is installed, the name does not change. After the PTFs are applied and option 9 (feature 5109) is installed, restart Db2 Web Query for i by using the ENDWEBQRY/STRWEBQRY or WRKWEBQRY CL commands.

For more information, including the PTFs required to enable the Db2 Web Query for i Runtime User Edition, see the Db2 Web Query website.

ARCAD RPG Converter for IBM i 1.1.3 (5733-AC1)

ARCAD RPG Converter for IBM i automates the conversion of any RPG IV source code to RPG Free Format, achieving near 100% conversion accuracy. The new release of ARCAD RPG Converter for IBM i adds a new parameter to the Expand Copy with Calc Spec command (EXPCSPECPY), enabling direct expansion of C-specs in /COPY members.

ARCAD Observer for IBM i 1.1.3 (5733-AO1)

ARCAD Observer for IBM i supports the understanding of business applications, using graphical diagramming of dependencies, I/O diagrams, data relationship models, calling chains, and much more. IBM includes one year of Software Subscription and Support (also referred to as Software Maintenance) with the initial license acquisition of each program acquired. The initial period of Software Subscription and Support can be extended by the purchase of a renewal option, if available. Two charges apply: a one-time license charge for use of the program and an annual renewable charge for the enhanced support that includes telephone assistance (voice support for defects during normal business hours), as well as access to updates, releases, and versions of the program as long as support is in effect.

IBM provides you with access to IBM databases containing information on known program defects, defect corrections, restrictions, and bypasses at no additional charge. For further information, see the IBM Support Guide.

IBM will maintain this information for at least one year after the original licensee acquires the program (warranty period).

Statement of good security practices

Top rule

IT system security involves protecting systems and information through intrusion prevention, detection, and response to improper access from within and outside your enterprise. Improper access can result in information being altered, destroyed, or misappropriated or can result in misuse of your systems to attack others. Without a comprehensive approach to security, no IT system or product should be considered completely secure and no single product or security measure can be completely effective in preventing improper access. IBM systems and products are designed to be part of a regulatory compliant, comprehensive security approach, which will necessarily involve additional operational procedures, and may require other systems, products, or services to be most effective.

Important: IBM does not warrant that any systems, products, or services are immune from, or will make your enterprise immune from, the malicious or illegal conduct of any party.
