Overview
Effective July 26, 2019, IBM® will withdraw the following versions from marketing:
- IBM Spectrum® Archive Library Edition 2.1
- IBM Spectrum Archive Enterprise Edition 1.2
Effective April 30, 2020, IBM will withdraw support of the following versions:
- IBM Spectrum Archive Library Edition 2.1
- IBM Linear Tape File System Storage® Manager (LTFS SM) 1.1
Refer to the Replacement program information section for upgrading the software to newer versions.
Effective April 30, 2020, IBM will withdraw support of the following programs licensed under the IBM International Program License Agreement:

Withdrawn programs
Effective July 26, 2019, IBM will withdraw from marketing, programs and features licensed under the IBM International Program License Agreement.
On or after that date, you can no longer obtain these programs directly from IBM. You can obtain these programs on an as-available basis through IBM Remarketers.
Effective July 26, 2019, the following programs and features will be withdrawn:

AAS Software Maintenance for IBM Spectrum Archive Library Edition product IDs 5639-LT2, 5639-LT3, 5639-LT4, 5639-LT5, 5639-LT6, 5639-LT7, 5639-LT8, and 5639-LT9 will remain available in AAS with the same feature numbers applicable in conjunction with the V2.4.1 replacement products, 5639-LT1.
AAS Software Maintenance for IBM Spectrum Archive Enterprise Edition product IDs 5639-LP2, 5639-LP3, 5639-LP4, 5639-LP5, 5639-LP6, 5639-LP7, 5639-LP8, and 5639-LP9 will remain available in AAS with the same feature numbers applicable in conjunction with the V1.3 replacement products, 5639-LP1 and 5725-X69.

Program withdrawal
The IBM programs specified in this announcement will be withdrawn from marketing. IBM will accept orders for these programs no later than three days prior to the effective date of withdrawal. Normal marketing activities and educational support will not be available unless previous agreement exists between the client and IBM.
Clients having these programs installed or on order will continue to receive program support in accordance with the applicable IBM agreement.
