On or after these dates, you can no longer obtain these part numbers directly from IBM. You can obtain these part numbers on an as-available basis through IBM Remarketers.
The terms for Cognos Planning (5724-W34) have been revised.
Effective August 31, 2019, users of Cognos Planning and IBM Planning Analytics (or IBM Cognos TM1®) will only be offered IBM Software Subscription and Support under separate contract elements. Under the IBM Cognos Enterprise Planning Contributor entitlement, announced in Software Announcement ZP10-0447, dated October 19, 2010, users have a contingent right to also use their entitlements with Planning Analytics (or Cognos TM1), although that right does not entitle users to access both programs at the same time. After August 31, 2019, Software Subscription and Support renewal parts will no longer support this contingent option. When users renew their annual Software Subscription and Support contracts, IBM will ask them to identify and separate the number of users that will use Cognos Planning and those that will use Planning Analytics (or Cognos TM1). Then Software Subscription and Support for Cognos Planning will only entitle users to software support for Cognos Planning and not for Planning Analytics (or Cognos TM1).
Users who have elected to take advantage of contingent rights to Planning Analytics (or Cognos TM1) should acquire separate Software Subscription and Support for their users on Planning Analytics (or Cognos TM1) at their support renewal on or before August 31, 2019. Software Subscription and Support for Planning Analytics (or Cognos TM1) does not include support for Cognos Planning.
IBM will offer Software Subscription and Support contracts for users of Cognos Enterprise Planning Contributor only under the Cognos Enterprise Planning User contractual element.

Part number withdrawal (for a program not withdrawn from marketing)
The IBM part number specified in this announcement will be withdrawn from marketing. IBM will accept orders for this part number no later than three days prior to the effective date of withdrawal. Normal marketing activities and educational support will not be available unless previous agreement exists between the customer and IBM.
Customers having this part number installed or on order will continue to receive program support in accordance with the applicable IBM agreement.
