Overview
Effective February 26, 2019, March 15, 2019, June 28, 2019, August 31, 2019, and October 31, 2019, IBM® will withdraw from marketing the selected IBM Power® Systems models and features listed in the Withdrawn products section. On or after the effective dates of withdrawal, you can no longer order these features directly from IBM. Field-installed features associated with the machine types not listed in this announcement continue to be available.
Statement of warranty support and service
IBM's current plan, which is subject to change, is to continue to offer warranty support and service for POWER8® machines for at least the next five years, under IBM's standard terms for warranty or service.
You can obtain the products on an as-available basis through IBM Business Partners.
If you have a continuing need for these machine types/models, go to the IBM Certified Pre-owned Equipment website to check on availability or utilize the request a quote to communicate your specific requirements. IBM Certified Pre-owned Equipment has the largest inventory of used IBM systems that are refurbished, tested, and warranted for a minimum of 90 days.
