IBM Services® Software Archive and Essence Manager Pak is a fully artificial intelligence (AI) enabled, multifunction solution intended to help clients manage media and complex sensor data at any scale and improve the agility of associated workflows.

Archive and Essence Manager Pak will orchestrate any file-based workflow across the whole lifecycle of media and sensor data end-to-end, providing a superior level of automation and full control of all processes. It will be particularly well-suited to help clients manage workflows associated with professional video files or other files containing complex sensor data, such as lidar and radar data. Archive and Essence Manager Pak will also include front ends to search, browse, filter, and view video and sensor data.

Archive and Essence Manager Pak may provide the following key functions to help clients achieve high automation for all their managed workflows:

  • More than 150 application connectors to transport, transform, and manipulate media and sensor data files
  • Intuitive workflow builder
  • Prepared for seamless integration of IBM and third-party AI tools and algorithm for automated creation of metadata
  • Extensive web-based process and system monitoring
  • Media portal for federated searches across multiple silos
  • Sophisticated viewers and players that enable superior visualization of video, lidar, and radar data
  • Testing automation to facilitate agile and continuous delivery
  • Seamless orchestration of end-to-end workflows across on-premises and cloud platforms

Archive and Essence Manager Pak may be especially well-suited to help clients orchestrate file-based workflows for the following use cases:

  • Data lifecycle management for the training and testing of autonomous driving (AD) data, including:
    • Management of AD and advanced driver-assistance systems (ADAS) projects
    • Ingestion, uploading, and preprocessing of traces
    • Key performance indictor (KPI) and drive management
    • Metadata and annotation management
    • Software in the loop (SIL) and hardware in the loop (HIL) integration
  • Management of file-based workflows in broadcast and media, including:
    • Ingestion, quality assurance, and transcoding management
    • Management of video archives
    • Media portal to search, filter, and view archive content
    • Automation of all content-based workflows from ingestion to distribution
  • Fully supportive of DevOps and continuous delivery models
