Overview

Top rule

IBM® Power® Private Cloud Solution with Dynamic Capacity offers increased scalability and flexibility with the following enhancements:

  • The maximum number of systems supported in a single IBM Power Enterprise Pool 2.0 and in a single Cloud Management Console (CMC) instance increases from 48 to 64 systems.
  • The maximum number of virtual machines (VMs) supported in a single Power Enterprise Pool 2.0 and in a single CMC instance increases from 2,000 to 4,000, with up to 1,000 VMs per Hardware Management Console (HMC).
  • The CMC application is enhanced to support more granular monitoring of Red Hat® OpenShift® Container Platform (OCP) software resources. Pool administrators may now tag VMs as "control plane nodes" in the Power Enterprise Pools 2.0 application and subsequently have the minutes of CoreOS software executing in these VMs excluded from calculations of OCP software to be consumed as Base Capacity or charged as Metered Capacity within the pool.
