Overview
Effective September 30, 2024, IBM® will discontinue support for the following components included in the IBM WebSphere® Application Server family of products:
- 32-bit instances of IBM HTTP Server for IBM WebSphere Application Server (All versions)
- 32-bit instances of Web Server Plug-ins for IBM WebSphere Application Server 8.5.5
- IBM WebSphere Edge Components: Caching Proxy (all versions)
Support for the WebSphere Application Server family of products continues to be provided.
Clients with IBM HTTP Server for IBM WebSphere Application Server 8.5.5 (32-bit) and Web Server Plug-ins for IBM WebSphere Application Server 8.5.5 (32-bit) components can migrate to the version 9, 64-bit equivalent components to continue to receive support. Clients with WebSphere Application Server 8.5.5 product entitlement are supported when using the version 9 components with their version 8.5.5 application server deployments. There is no requirement to move the application server deployments to version 9.
Clients with WebSphere Edge Components: Caching Proxy can migrate to alternative solutions for this capability. WebSphere Edge Components: Caching Proxy will continue to ship with the WebSphere Application Server product family, but will not receive support after September 30, 2024.
