IBM Cloud offers a portfolio of data migration services

IBM® Aspera® High-Speed File Transfer lets you to rapidly transfer large files and data sets (whether structured or unstructured) over an existing WAN infrastructure. It provides predictable, reliable, and secure delivery regardless of file size, transfer distance, and network conditions. Optionally, you can use IBM Cloud Direct Link to move data over a dedicated network link, worldwide, with a variety of high-speed connectivity options.
Transfer data by shipping physical devices for large or small data sets
If you are looking for a fast, simple, secure way to move large amounts of data to the IBM Cloud, consider IBM Cloud Mass Data Migration, a versatile data transfer solution that makes it possible to move large amounts of data to the IBM Cloud in days. It is a portable storage device with 120TB usable capacity, inline data compression, and end-to-end security with AES 256-bit encryption. It helps overcome common data transfer challenges (including long transfer times) and security concerns, and it is commonly used to free-up on-prem storage space or decommission data centers. For smaller amounts of data (10 TB of data or less), clients can opt to use IBM Cloud Data Transfer Service and send a USB storage device to an IBM Cloud data center. Once received, the data will be transferred it to your cloud storage at no cost.
Capture, store, and analyze continuous streams of data
With the number of connected devices set to top 11 billion, the need to capture, store, and analyze continuous streams data has never been greater. With IBM Cloud Streaming Analytics with Event Streams, you can continuously ingest and analyze multiple streams and unlock the potential of your event-driven apps by leveraging a high-throughput messaging backbone that’s optimized for event ingestion into IBM Cloud. Optionally, you can use IBM Aspera Streaming for Data Stream from an in-memory application to the cloud while the data is being created or captured. The stream is transported as a uniform, unaltered, in-order byte stream.
Easier VMware, Hyper-V, and database migrations
To simplify the process and take more of a lift and shift approach for individual or multiple protocol environments and databases, IBM Cloud has a few options. IBM Lift makes it easy to quickly, securely, and reliably migrate your database from on-premise data centers to an IBM Cloud data property. It enables secure and rapid migration to the cloud with zero downtime.
