You can now develop Beam applications locally in your Streams development environment and then submit these apps to the Streaming Analytics service in the IBM Cloud.

IBM Streams Runner for Apache Beam: You can now develop Beam applications locally in your Streams development environment and then submit these apps to the Streaming Analytics service in the IBM Cloud. IBM Streams Runner for Apache Beam executes Beam pipelines in a Streams environment. A Beam application that is launched with Streams Runner is translated into a Streams Application Bundle (SAB) file that you can then deploy in Streaming Analytics. You can find information from log files even faster. The console has been updated to improve the display of application graphs for Python or Java topologies. See Enhancements to the Console.
