Business Challenge

Asia Commercial Joint Stock Bank (ACB) needed to establish a flexible and efficient data warehouse infrastructure that would support its overall enterprise growth plans. In addition to pursuing business growth and accommodating the evolving needs of customers, ACB constantly evaluates ways to minimize downtime due to natural or man-made disasters like a cyber attack, and facilitate the continuous availability of its mission-critical information. With this last goal in mind, the bank sought to team with a reliable IT provider that could evaluate its business continuity strategy and help refine its approach.

IBM Services collaborated with ACB to develop a robust business continuity strategy that it could use to help reduce downtime while promoting around-the-clock availability of mission-critical information. The IBM team assessed the existing disaster recovery infrastructure for vulnerabilities and designed new recovery and failover plans. Disaster recovery and failover testing was conducted, including tabletop and end-to-end exercises.
