IBM takes a universal approach to generating pictograms, both informative and illustrative. They’re used across various applications—communications, digital experiences, presentations and merchandise. Like our IBM Plex® typeface, they serve as connective tissue between a variety of experiences.

City pictograms

IBM Developer features city pictograms prominently across the brand. Shown here are examples of IBM city pictograms. The individual artwork files are named based on the cities they represent. You can find these pictogram assets and sets for download from the IBM Design Language Pictogram Library.

All IBM Icons are drawn as if they come from the same hand, each being part of a larger lexicon, used by all of IBM. The IBM Brand team welcomes new contributions. If you’d like to try your hand at a new design, find guidelines for creating pictograms on the Contribute page.
