Three Watson bots that took the grand prize at DevCon

One of the many ways that developers at the Watson Developer Conference engaged with the latest conversational technology was by voting on entries in our Bot Gallery. Sixteen chat bots were built leading up to the conference and displayed in an online portal for attendees to interact with. Votes were cast in three categories: most useful, most creative, and best user experience. The winners, listed below, were each awarded $2500.

Bot Gallery Winners:

Built by Jill Bourque, Roscoe helps you find interesting events in San Francisco. Roscoe connects with rushtix.com to get you added to the guest list.

Responsive Vocalize, built by Bryan Knouse, helps a user create a website by talking to it, taking a lot of technical complexity and frustration out of the construction process. All the bot needs is a little bit of information about your site and it does the rest.

This bot, a creation of Jeronimo De Leon and Ben Kraft, tells jokes and sends you links to funny videos. It was built entirely using the Watson Conversation Service.
