Success story: The Aurum Institute

Share this post:

The Aurum Institute needed to integrate clinical data from cross-border research sites located in several sub-Saharan African countries, each run by data managers who speak different languages and possess varied levels of experience with electronic data capture.

  • The solution
The Aurum Institute partnered with IBM® Watson Health™ to deploy IBM Clinical Development, a cloud-based electronic data capture (EDC) solution that requires no user infrastructure or programming experience, yet allows users to access all study data and platform functions through a centralized web interface.

  • The result
By centralizing its clinical data collection processes through IBM Clinical Development, the Aurum Institute could significantly improve the speed and accuracy of its clinical trials data capture and reporting, and unlock valuable insights that had previously been hidden in the research metadata.
