IBM Payments Gateway Placed as Leader in The Forrester Wave: Global Commerce Payment Providers, 4Q 2016 report

The first ever The Forrester Wave™: Global Commerce Payment Providers, 4Q 2016  report has been released and Forrester has placed IBM Payment Gateway solution as a Leader in its evaluation. This report underscores for us the importance merchants are placing on their payments acceptance systems to meet the high expectations of shoppers, dependable data security, and to deliver excellence in customer service by orchestrating complex payment processing scenarios, in any channel.

Forrester’s evaluation notes that our approach enables maximum global acquirer flexibility. IBM Payments Gateway does not require a specific merchant banking relationship, and in fact, supports multiple merchant accounts simultaneously. Forrester recognizes IBM’s extensive number of acquiring partners, payment methods and country support. It states that clients who already use IBM commerce products will like the single point of contact and managed integration. IBM Payments Gateway is a part of the Watson Commerce family of solutions that encompasses the entire customer journey lifecycle, and is pre-integrated to companion solutions like Order Management and WebSphere Commerce. The report states that IBM Watson and Safer Payments (through IRIS Analytics acquisition) bring additional services to extract customer insights and combat fraud respectively. Forrester says that IBM excels at communicating our vision and product roadmap to clients, and provides them a simple tiered pricing and billing model that is transparent and detailed.
