The IBM Smarter Commerce Market team will be heading to Forrester’s Forum For Marketing Leaders later this week, where the theme will focus on the Connected Customer. What excites me about this stimulating topic is how it ties nicely into one of the biggest challenges that CMOs face today: The always on, always engaged (and demanding) customer that challenges companies to service and market 24/7, 365 days a year.
Our VP of Marketing, Alisa Maclin, will be discussing the connected customer at a keynote session on Thur, April 18. Entitled Three Imperatives for the Next Generation CMO, Alisa will highlight the evolution of the CMO and the three imperatives of marketing leaders in our new connected world: understand each customer as an individual, create a system of engagement that maximizes value at every touch, and design your culture and brand so they are authentically one.
Also on Thursday, I’ll be delivering a breakfast session that explores strategies for reaching these always on, always available connected customers. In Personalizing the Customer Journey, I’ll discuss ways our customers have succeeded in reaching their customers, attributing success, and in the process, driven higher marketing results.
If you’re in the LA area, please stop by the JW Marriott … it would be great to explore your marketing challenges and how we can help.
