What will you build after IBM InterConnect day two?

Share this post:

Monday kicked off day two of IBM InterConnect and the morning lineup was jam-packed with client stories discussing in detail what they’ve built with IBM solutions.  Attendees discovered IT infrastructure, artificial intelligence, security and Internet of Things solutions so they too can take back control of their cloud and build a better business.

The welcome keynote included a conversation about the importance of blockchain led by Founder and CEO of Everledger, Leanne Kemp, and IBM Fellow Donna Dillenberger.  We learned about the complicated diamond verification process and how IBM Blockchain can improve the process and keep it secure.

The welcome ended with a light and funny conversation with actor Will Smith as he discussed everything from his family and technology to his transition from music to TV to film. His ability to say “yes” — and figure it out later — really spoke to acting agile.

The rest of the afternoon was filled with innovation talks before the Concourse opening reception. The Concourse allows attendees to immerse themselves in innovative and cutting-edge experiences through hands-on demonstrations, network lounges, Business Partners showcases and much more. The Systems booth features naked mainframes, Red Bull Racing and the Systems Insider contest.

What’s the contest, you ask? The Systems booth features a Systems billboard of pictures. To make the wall, take a conference selfie and Tweet with the hashtags #ibminterconnect and #SystemsInsider. InterConnect guests have the chance to win exciting prizes if they visit the Systems booth and attend Systems sessions. To learn more, visit us at the Concourse booth or this website.

Day three will bring IBM Chairwoman, President and CEO Ginni Rometty’s keynote address — and I’m sure it will also bring us a lot of great announcements about the future of IBM cognitive and cloud. You can stream the keynote live on IBMGO.
