Connect 2016 has come to a close, but we learned a lot!
The conference kicked off with an informative and fun opening general session. We heard from Jason Silva, Host of National Geographic’s Brain Games, who spoke about the exciting things that can happen with innovation and technology. We learned that computers can be funny too, and computational humor might be the key to strengthen relationships between humans and machines. We witnessed how IBM technology is helping students collaborate across the country, improving the farming process in Africa and helping employees connect with one another to work more efficiently.
After the general session we got into the specifics and learned about the importance of providing persuasive, adaptive and relevant content in the mobile moment. Customers are more likely to engage with a brand when they receive content that is catered to them.
On the second day we dove deeper into how to develop the wow factor with IBM Digital Experience on Cloud. Moving to the cloud addresses key deliver issues often faced with on-premise solutions, and it can also lower company operating costs. DX on Cloud lets companies focus on what they really want to focus on, which is the delivering of a compelling customer experience, while IBM can take care of software processing and configuration.
On the last day we took a deeper look at personalized content. A fully personalized solution takes three things into consideration: the user, the data and the content. Each is necessary to provide a complete personalized experience.
Don’t worry, we did manage to have some fun after we jumped from session to session. We stopped by the IBM selfie station and captured our best selfies. We got a chance to embrace our inner wizards and drink butterbeer while exploring the magical world of Hogwarts at Harry Potter World.
We had a great time and hope to see everyone at InterConnect 2016. Make sure you register here if you haven’t already!
