VMworld, IBM Think 2018, SHARE Sacramento, Cognitive Computing

Very few business leaders implement only one cloud solution in today’s multicloud world. Organizations are deploying private clouds to maximize control over sensitive data, tapping into public cloud services to increase business agility and constructing hybrid environments to utilize existing on-premises systems while capitalizing on cloud capabilities.

To help you maximize the value of all these cloud resources, we have enhanced our extensive IBM Storage portfolio of systems and software to support a modern, multicloud infrastructure. At VMworld this year, we are showcasing the latest versions of key solutions and demonstrating the ways these solutions help you make the most of your IT infrastructure.

What can you expect from IBM at VMworld? Take a look at a few highlights.

Be inspired

Visit us at the IBM booth (#1312), where we’re channeling the inspiration and excitement of the X Games—the annual extreme sports event:

  • Breakout session with Tony Hawk and Rodney Mullen
Tuesday, August 28, 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM PST

Attend an inspiring session with skateboarding legends and entrepreneurs Tony Hawk and Rodney Mullen, who will discuss innovation and perseverance—keys to success in both skateboarding and technology. IBM skateboarding aficionado Simon Kofkin-Hansen, CTO, IBM Cloud for VMware Solutions, Director and Distinguished Engineer, IBM Hybrid Cloud will moderate this session.

Hawk and Mullen will be available from 4:00 PM to 5:00 PM PT for autographs and photos at IBM booth #1312.

  • Live art exhibit – Watch as artists Simon Cruz and MC Lancaster paint skateboards by hand. The finished boards will be displayed throughout the conference and auctioned off for charity. The giveaways will occur at the end of every IBM booth theater session, which typically start every 30 minutes while the expo is open. See booth #1312 for the latest schedule.
