A partner ecosystem is helping to power supply chain innovation

Innovations designed to help accelerate retailers' growth and digital transformation

Many global systems integrators (GSIs) tell me that their customers are looking to modernize their supply chains. They are being asked to help innovate across traditional systems and harness technologies such as AI, blockchain and IoT. And, they are using hybrid cloud to deliver new capabilities that create competitive advantage and drive growth.

Enhanced solution capabilities like these are being developed in collaboration with solution providers for the IBM Sterling open supply chain platform. During the National Retail Federation’s Big Show this week, IBM announced how market leaders such as Salesforce, Publicis Sapient, IBM Services, project44 and Flooid are joining the IBM Sterling open ecosystem. This collaboration will help craft unique solutions and accelerate their clients’ digital transformation initiatives at scale. They are solving the retail industry’s returns, omnichannel and logistics challenges with new innovations to improve customer service – and they’re doing this using the IBM Sterling open platform.

To help GSIs who have an interest in partnering with IBM around their supply chain practice, we are going even further and rolling out a Powered by IBM Sterling program. Publicis Sapient is piloting the program. This pilot, in addition to the publicly available IBM Sterling developer hub, provides qualified partners access to valuable developer resources and expertise to create and deliver supply chain innovations for clients across industries.

Benefits of the program include:

  • Provisioned testing environments with educational materials, knowledge transfer and skills assessment to help you get your project off the ground
  • Access to assigned development and subject matter expert resources to get you past those bumps in the road
  • A dedicated IBM coverage representative and an IBM Sterling executive to support on-going strategy discussions

To join the program, your company must:

  • Commit to building a skilled IBM Sterling practice of sales and technical resources
  • Participate in joint press engagement activities around our partnership and solutions built on the IBM Sterling platform
  • Participate as an early adopter of IBM technology, including acting as an advisor on our solutions and technology and providing feedback on our offerings and platform strategy
  • Invest in creating bespoke solutions for the supply chain market using the IBM Sterling Supply Chain open platform

Are you ready to become Powered by IBM Sterling? Interested systems integrators can schedule a meeting to chat with an IBM Sterling supply chain expert. This meeting will provide additional details about the program and share more on next steps.
