Embracing Digital SaaS Marketplaces

Share this post:

Today’s digital world demands distribution models that serve the convenience and preferences of all clients – and more than ever, that means selling solutions over marketplaces. While traditional sales representatives provide personalized attention and expertise, complementing their services with a truly digital software as a service (SaaS) model allows organizations to expand the breadth and depth of reach for their offerings.

For IBM it started with the IBM Marketplace. Now IBM Collaboration Solutions is extending the online availability of IBM Connections and IBM Verse to new markets, new geographies, and new partners-including value-added resellers (VARs), independent software vendors (ISVs), managed service providers (MSPs) and system integrators (SIs). Here’s where you can now find these solutions:

Ingram_SaaSIBM Connections Cloud has been added to the Ingram Micro Cloud Marketplace, a leading automated cloud services platform that allows resellers to purchase, provision, manage, and invoice cloud technology with confidence and ease.

Copaco_collaborationCopaco is the first European IT distributor to include IBM offerings in their own cloud services delivery platform. The Copaco marketplace simplifies traditional subscription methods with options like online activation of IBM Connections Cloud services, consolidated invoicing and more.

Avnet_cloud_marketplaceThese venues join the Avnet Cloud Marketplace as the growing number of third-party platforms offering Connections Saas solutions, helping IBM Business Partners expand their cloud portfolios and leverage the benefits of the cloud marketplace model.

“Cloud-based marketplaces make it easy for customers to find, purchase, provision and manage their SaaS applications,” says Lou Sassano, Director, Global Business Partner Sales, IBM Analytics. “Working with Ingram, Copaco and Avnet will offer a simplified approach for partners looking to transition to a recurring revenue stream business model. In addition, SaaS marketplaces create a more cost-efficient way for IBM to sell and bill for services. In other words, a true WIN for all parties involved.”
