Explore the Future of Talent Management at IBM InterConnect 2017

This year IBM InterConnect asks the question, “How can you use the world’s biggest breakthroughs to unleash ingenuity?” Most people might not associate “ingenuity” with HR, but at no time in history has it been more important for new thinking in the way we approach talent management.

Fortunately there are several breakout sessions at this year’s conference dedicated to recruitment, career development and employee experience that will help you navigate these waters and set a course to steer your organization boldly into the future. Despite the recent upheaval in the industry caused by empowered employees, candidates with consumer-like expectations and increased competition for top talent, that future is looking bright thanks to the infusion of cognitive technologies into recruitment and engagement tools.

Here is a quick guide to the must-see talent management sessions at IBM InterConnect 2017, plus don’t miss our interactive Watson Talent Booth #847, featuring graphic artist Tanya Gadsby & our new ‘Find Your Watson Talent’ activation!

IBM Watson Talent Sessions
Four breakout sessions on Tuesday and Wednesday will highlight different IBM Watson Talent solutions and capabilities. You’ll learn how IBM Watson Career Coach recommends a career path tailored for individual goals, desires and skills, and how IBM Watson Talent Development analyzes an employee and his/her role and suggests relevant and interesting learning. You can see how IBM Watson Recruitment learns from internal and external data to recommend the best candidates for any job, and how IBM Watson Talent Insights allows you to explore data, predict outcomes and share results to align your organization. Together these sessions will paint a picture of how the cognitive power of Watson Talent is expanding human expertise and helping HR improve and speed people’s impact on the business.

Maximizing the Employee Experience
As more organizations enter into digital and cognitive transformations, what is the effect of these transformations on the workforce? It may not be a question that companies ask before taking on their digital initiatives, but aligning these transformations around the employee experience should be a prime consideration from the get-go. At InterConnect a panel will discuss the roles of behavioral science, real-time employee feedback, data, mobile and social technology in designing an employee experience that results in engaged employees and a culture of continuous innovation. The panel will also explore the necessary approaches and tools, including cognitive technology to analyze employee feedback and surveys to help act fast on insights.
