IBM Security Announces FIDO2 Certification

Share this post:

Today IBM Security joins a select group of industry leaders in announcing FIDO2 certification! This positions our IBM Identity and Access Management portfolio to continue to deliver on our strategic focus on providing “alternative-to-password” authentication methods.

FIDO2 is an evolution from previous standards such as U2F and UAF, and has gained significant traction with most of the major browser vendors (Edge, Chrome and Firefox). We’re excited to share the user experience with you, and you can do that with our demo site available here:

https://verify.securitypoc.com

Please Note: As at the 27th of September, there are a few pre-requisites around using modern browsers (in fact, actually requiring pre-release versions such as Chrome Canary, and the Windows 10 Insider Previews builds for MS Edge) and having supported hardware. So if thats all too hard, take a moment to watch some videos assembled by Shane Weeden, our Access Management architect:

Demonstration of the registration of the Mac Touchbar on the IBM Verify demonstration site using Chrome Canary
