In this blog post, I will try to explain the benefits of the IBM Maximo Assets Management solution, and the importance of transparency, as well as predictive analytics in the operational environment.
IBM Maximo
Maximo is a market-leading platform, incorporating analytics tools and IoT data to improve operational availability and reduce risks. With Maximo, you can get full visibility into all your assets; where they are, how they are being used and when changes are made or needed. This will enable you to better understand how your assets are performing.
Maximo is the predictive tool for reliability and elimination of downtime
It is important to understand your assets – as we all know, maintenance and repairs are expensive and can cause disruptions and downtime. The same is the case for scheduling tasks, having an overview of your workers’ skills and equipment – how do you maintain this today? And what if you could have one single solution that could give you an overview of it all? Think of Maximo as a way of achieving disruption-free operations, deep operational insights, and transparency.
With Maximo, you can:
- optimize performance
- extend the life cycle of your assets
- reduce operational downtime
And at IBM we know what we are doing when it comes to EAM. IBM has been named a leader in Enterprise Asset Management Software by Gartner for several years in a row – you can see more on our Maximo website.

Lastly, I would also like to mention the latest edition to the Maximo family – Maximo Asset Monitor, which enables AI-powered remote monitoring at enterprise scale for asset maintenance.
