Announcement: IBM & Xact Mainframe Test Partnership

Last week, IBM and Xact announced a partnership for the sale and marketing of Xact’s XaTester software. XaTester is the market leading, unit testing tool for mainframe IBMz and IBMi.

With XaTester, you get an advanced and flexible tool for writing and executing automated unit and integration tests of programs on IBMz and IBMi. Here, you can test programs written in COBOL, PL/I, EGL, RPG and Assembler. XaTester delivers advanced features, such as virtualization of sub programs, automated execution of tests through scheduling or integration with external build systems, and the generation of web-based user interfaces for easy manual testing. You can even utilize user interface-based test automation. With XaTester, testing becomes an integrated part of the DevOps process for IBMz and IBMi.

With XaTester, you can make testing an automated part of your DevOps process to improve quality, shorten turnaround time, and lower costs.
